When Brookside Optical does a trunk show, it is one of the most exciting days to buy eyeglasses in the Kansas City Area.

A trunk show is when a frame manufacturer brings their entire frame line into the store and has everything on display. The frame line being showcased takes over the store for the day and the customer has a choice of every frame, every color, and every size available in that frame collection. Depending on the manufacturer there could be an additional 1000 choices. That’s the beauty of trunk shows, the selection.

American Idol judge, Randy Jackson, was recently seen on television wearing an Anne et Valentin Factory frame.

This is interesting to those of us in the optical industry, because Randy has his own frame collection.

Factory frames are designed and manufactured in France using a process different from any other. The details of this frame collection are hard to ignore.
